Local food meets Google Maps

Check out Incredible Edible Todmorden’s Egg Map. Todmorden is a small town in North Yorkshire (not far from Hebden Bridge, where I once visited friends of my father’s). The Egg Map is just a clickable map from which, if you live in the area of Todmorden, you can contact egg producers who might have surplus fresh, local eggs to sell. How simple. How perfect.

I really wanted to have laying hens in our garden, but once the landlord told us we couldn’t even have a cat, we knew hens would be out of the question. And no egg map for Cambridge, either. Oh well.
